PURPOSE:To provide a novel palladium compound having extremely high stability and useful as a component of a highly reactive telomerization catalyst for producing an alkoxyalkadiene by the telomerization reaction of an aliphatic conjugated diene and an alcohol. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I (R1 is diaminoalkyl having 1-3C alkyl group or diaminoalkyl having 1-3C alkyl group and containing sulfonic acid group), e.g. 1-nitroso-2-naphthol palladium compound. The compound can be produced e.g. by reacting a compound of formula II (R2 is H, alkyl, etc.) with a palladium salt (e.g. palladium chloride) in a solvent (e.g. THF) at ordinary temperature in an inert gas atmosphere. The compound of formula II is e.g. 2-nitroso-5-diethylaminophenol hydrochloride. |
