PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a fuel pole of a fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:At the time of increasing/decreasing temperature of a fuel cell where no generation is performed by the fuel cell and at the time of holding a high temperature where the fuel cell is in a standby condition, by supplying nitrogen gas, mixed with reducing gas, to a fuel flow path 7 of the fuel cell from a reducing gas-mixed nitrogen supply device 9, a fuel pole side is held in the reducing atmosphere even in the case whatever it may be, so that a fuel cell 3 can be prevented from deteriorating without oxidizing a nickel metal. |
