METHOD FOR IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIQUOR

PURPOSE:To decompose urethane in a liquor in high efficiency and improve the quality of the liquor by reacting urethanase produced by a specific microorganism to urethane in a liquor, thereby enabling sufficient development of the enzymatic activity even in the presence of alcohol. CONSTITUTION:Urethane in a liquor is reacted with urethanase produced by a microorganism belonging to Acinetobacter calcoaceticus (e.g. phenotypic group A1 of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus). The urethanase can be produced by culturing the microorganism at 30-70 deg.C for 6-48hr under aerobic condition.
