OPTICAL SWITCH

摘要

PURPOSE:To shorten the time of connection switching of optical fibers by providing a clearance surface to a positioning pin and making the area of contact with the inner peripheral surface of a positioning hole small, reducing the slide resistance of the positioning pin, and reducing the size of a drive source which drives the positioning pin for entering and exiting and speed up the entering and exiting motion of the positioning pin. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 2a-2f each consisting of >=1 coated optical fiber (unit) are arranged in a 1st connector and optical fibers 5a-5f each consisting of >=2 units are arranged in a 2nd connector 4 while exposed to an abutting end surface 3. The 1st connector 1 and 2nd connector 4 are provided with pairs of positioning holes 6 and positioning holes 7. The clearance surface 14 which extends in the length direction is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the positioning pin 12b inserted into the pair of positioning holes 7 at the time of the connection switching of the positioning pin 12a inserted into the pair of the positioning holes 5 and optical fibers.
