摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display body having high display quality and reliability by setting the specific resistance of a liquid crystal/high polymer composite film at nearly the same value as a liquid crystal alone and using a lateral type MIM element as a driving element. CONSTITUTION:A high-polymer matrix 1 of a grid shape or mesh shape, etc., is previously formed by curing a photosetting resin and a liquid crystal is penetrated into this matrix 1. Since the direct contact of the photosetting resin in a low molecular state and the liquid crystal does not arise, the low molecular impurities do not infiltrate the liquid crystal. The specific resistance of the liquid crystal/high polymer composite film is, therefore, maintained at nearly the same specific resistance of the liquid crystal alone. Further, the MIM element can increase the voltage to be impressed to the liquid crystal material as compared with a TFT material and, therefore, this element is convenient for driving the liquid crystal/high polymer composite film having the threshold voltage slightly higher than the threshold voltage of the ordinary liquid crystal materials. Further, the capacity of the element itself is small and, therefore, the capacity ratio between the liquid crystal material and the element is increased by decreasing the capacity of the MIM element without reducing the thickness of the liquid crystal cell.</p>
