Communications system for controlling electrical devices with properties in vehicles - establishes access between controller and communicator device before synchronising data sequences for transfer

The communication system consists of a controller and a communications device. The controller controls a device for continuous input and output of a number of data sequences contg. unit data which are stored. The controller generates external access and data chain synchronisation signals. The communications device also generates an external access control signal in response to a request from the controller or as the initiation of a request to it. Once access has been established, the data sequences are synchronised for transfer between the controller and communication device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Connected to microprocessor for controlling electrical device with peripheral device, e.g. motor or safety belt controller in motor vehicle. Enables control of IC in peripheral which must exert control over communications IC via serial interface function integrated in microcomputer.
