PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic recording medium which is not deteriorated in durability even after use at and under a high temp. and high humidity and preservation at and under the high temp. and high humidity. CONSTITUTION:The ether compd. expressed by following general formula is incorporated on and/or into the magnetic layer of the magnetic recording medium constituted by providing the magnetic layer on a nonmagnetic base. R-O-R' (R, R' are hydrocarbon group which may substrate by halogen and may be same or different. The one of R, R' has at least branching structure and is >=300 mol.wt.)
