摘要 <p>The invention relates to a bearing assembly for a transmission shaft (10), such as, for example, a differential drive shaft with bevel pinion (12) of a vehicle transmission, exposed to bending forces and accepting axial forces. The bearing assembly consists of at least one radial cylindrical roller bearing (18) and two thrust bearings. The inner bearing race (16) of the radial cylindrical roller bearing (18) is supported radially and in an axial direction against the shaft (10). The thrust bearings are arranged on both sides of a bearing housing (40) which can be secured on the transmission case (48) and are supported against the said housing. The thrust bearing which faces the radial cylindrical roller bearing (18) is supported in the said direction against the inner bearing race (16) of the radial cylindrical roller bearing (18). The radial cylindrical roller bearing (18) and the thrust bearings are furthermore fixed against axial displacement on the shaft (10). For a compact design of the bearing assembly which takes up little installation space and contains bearings which are simple to manufacture, it is proposed to use cylindrical roller thrust bearings (22, 24) as thrust bearings and to design the flange-like bearing housing (40) and/or its fixing on the transmission case (48) in such a way that, when the shaft bends, the regions of the bearing housing (40) against which the cylindrical roller thrust bearings (22, 24) are supported adapt to the oblique position of the transmission shaft (10). For this purpose, it is both possible for the bearing housing (40) to be fixed to the transmission case (48) by anti-fatigue bolts (50) yielding to axial forces and for the bearing housing (40) to have areas of varying stiffness in the circumferential direction. <IMAGE></p>
