PURPOSE:To improve the quality of recording picture as much as possible without decreasing recording speed by providing a third recording control means updating the time length of voltage application at every line in response to the discrete value of a counter and setting time length so that the recording time of each line is equalized approximately. CONSTITUTION:A counter 10 counts the number of picture data blocks discriminated as no containing of black picture element information. The count is conducted by first and second picture data discriminating sections 81, 82. An arithmetic section 11 computes the recording time length of the picture data blocks, the time length of the application of recording voltage, so that the recording time of each line is equalized approximately by arithmetic processing based on the discrete value of the counter 10. A third recording control section 12 controls the recording time of the picture data blocks, and updates and controls the recording time length of the picture data blocks to recording time length computed by the arithmetic section 11 at every line. |
