PURPOSE:To enable forecasting weather with high predictability by inputting data on whether it has rained or not corresponding to each date, and thereby correcting already stored, data about rainfall rates. CONSTITUTION:To modify data about rainfall rates into one which takes into account data about the rainfall of the past one year, a mode switch is controlled to a rainfall data input mode. Next, the date of 1st January is set by a date indicating registor. If it has rained on the 1st of January, the rain key of a switch portion 9 is controlled and thereby data about the rainfall rates of the 1st of January (the rates of rainfall on that date over the past 20 years) are read from an EEPROM 8 and a value obtained by adding one to that data is divided by 20 and a value obtained is stored in a rainfall rate memory. If it has not rained on the 1st of January, a no-rain key is controlled and a value obtained by dividing the product of the rainfall data and 19 by 20 is set in the rainfall rate memory. Similar operation is repeated up to the 31st of December so as to obtain new rainfall rate data, which is then stored in the rainfall rate memory. Processing of the data is performed by a CPU 1. |
