The method is for heating the grill of the microwave oven by controlling a conventional convection heater and a circulation fan motor without using a special grill heater. The grill heating method comprises the steps of; actuating a motor (26) for a rotary table and the convection heater (30) if the grill heating function is selected; detecting temperatures of a convection heating chamber (28); actuating the circulation fan motor (31) when the detected temperature reaches an upper limit value; stopping the circulation fan motor (31) when the detected temperature falls to a lower limit value; stopping the motor (26) and the convection heater (30) after repeating the preceding steps.
