PRODUCTION OF OPTICALLY ACTIVE (S)-3-CHLORO-1-PHENYL-1-PROPANOL

摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain optically active (S)-3-chloro-1-phenyl-1-propanol of high optical purity from 3-chloropropiophenone. CONSTITUTION:3-Chloropropiophenone is reacted with a microorganism selected from the microorganism group belonging to the genuses Aureobasidium, Torula, Mucor and Cochliobolus or its treated substance and asymmetrically reduced to afford the objective optically active (S)-3-chloro-1-phenyl-1-propanol.
