PURPOSE:To improve productivity without causing a trouble by double feeding by feeding a new transfer paper when a specified time elapses after detecting no paper by a no-paper sensor provided in an intermediate stack. CONSTITUTION:The transfer paper where image-forming on one side has been finished is temporarily stored in the intermediate stack 22. After finishing image- forming on one side by necessary number of copies, another image is formed on the other side of the transfer paper in the stack 22. Before the transfer paper where image-forming on both sides has been finished is ejected and when the specified time elapses after confirming no paper by the no-paper sensor 41 in the stack 22, the new transfer paper is fed. Therefore, an interval from finishing image-forming on both sides to starting image-forming on one side of the next transfer paper becomes short and the number of image formed papers per unit time is increased. Since the next transfer paper is fed after confirming that there is no transfer paper in the stack 22, the trouble by the double feeding is not caused. |
