PURPOSE:To form an image, which is so improved in density and gradation as to be used for a medical examination, in a simple process at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:A substance donative layer of a thermal transfer ribbon 1. is disposed opposedly to an image receiving layer of an image receiving sheet 7. A thermal transfer substance in the substance donative layer is heated by a thermal head 3 to be transferred to the image receiving layer, whereby a required image is formed on the image receiving sheet 7. Next, an unused substance donative layer is disposed opposedly to the image receiving layer on which the image has been formed already. The substance donative layer is again heated by the thermal head 3 in the form of the whole or part of the image, whereby the thermal transfer substance is overlappedly transferred. In this manner, a multiple transfer image with a high density and a high gradation is formed. |
