PURPOSE:To improve safety by preventing sales amount data in a store transaction terminal installed on each store from being falsified. CONSTITUTION:A prepaid card system 1 composed of an IC card 2, store transaction terminal 3, and a bank center system 4 calculates the sales amount. The system is composed of a sales amount/encipher means 10 calculating the sales amount and encoding the data, a sales amount storage means 11 storing the obtained sales amount data and a cryptogram, a fault detection means 12 checking he presence of alteration of data stored in the sales amount storage means 11 for each shopping using the IC card 2 through the encoding or decoding of the data, and a fault detection settlement means 14 deciding the presence of faulsification in the transmitted sales amount data against a settlement request 13 to be sent from a store transaction terminal 3 to a bank center system 4 for each constant period and executing the settlement for the deposit to a shop account 7 in the case of no alteration. |
