The main frame (1) of the hydraulic press is of portal form with a work table (11) fixed at the bottom end of the aperture (3) bounding the work space (10). Sliding in upper and lower guides (6a) is a rectangular yoke (6) on which beats an upper driving cylinder (7) and, in tandem, a lower driving cylinder (8). Attached to the upper cross-member of the yoke (6) is a ram platten (12) in opposition to the work table (11). The return movement of the ram platten is provided by a return cylinder (9) pressing upwards on the yoke. The hydraulic cylinders (7, 9) are of the single-acting type. ADVANTAGE - Simple and compact design. Favourable force distribution without significant bending. Good accessibility of working parts.
