The double wheel castor has two wheels (1, 2) with recessed clearance gaps (1", 2") within their rims (1`, 2`) and a bearing body (3) supporting a wheel axle (6) joined by swivel bearings (10, 10`) to the vertical axis (8) of the lower end (9) of a support journal. The swivel bearings in the bearing body are arranged immediately adjacent the wheel bearings (4, 6) and at the same height, and together with the bearing body lie within the rim circumferences of the two wheels.
