The stocking tights, esp. of a fine denier, have thereinforced knitting (4) of the trunk section (3) at both legs (1)extending below the cut (11-4,24) at the boundary (23) of thegusset. It runs from the centre (9) of the trunks knit (4)diagonally upwards until it reaches the angled lines (12,13,124)of the cut. The seam is stitched through forwards from the leftand back from the right. Pref. the diagonal seam (11) extendsfrom the centre of a lockstitch (15) at the knitted (4) trunks atthe boundary (23) of the gusset. The diagonal (11) of the seam isat an angle of about 80 deg. to the vertical (10). The extensionof the knitted (4) trunks is formed with the stitched gusset asthe gusset extension (23) of the leg (1), to form the generallyU-shaped lower part of the centre section of the pants half ofthe tights.
