CALCIUM PHOSPHATE CEMENT FOR LIVING BODY

PURPOSE:To obtain a cement for living body with excellent affinity to the living body which can be filled at an arbitrary location. CONSTITUTION:This cement comprises a powder agent mainly composed of a mixture of an alpha type third calcium phosphate and a second calcium phosphate so arranged to be 1.40-1.498 in Ca/P mol ration and a liquid agent and moreover, the powder agent contains 0.1-5wt.% of apatite whisker per the total amount thereof. The calcium phosphate cement for organisms has the calcium phosphate cement of a specified composition rich in affinity to orgaisms and the apatite whisker as base material and hence, it has a high strength while being limited in variations in strength with excellent affinity to the living bodies. Also excellence in fluidity and operability in kneading allows filling at an arbitrary locating such as a part with a complicated form or a narrow part.
