PURPOSE:To provide a silver halide sensitive material, which has high sensitivity and hardly causes lowering of sensitivity while being preserved, by containing a specific methyn compound. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide emulsion contains a methyn compound as shown by an equation I as an intensifying coloring matter. In the equation I, Z1 and Z2 show atomic groups necessary for forming a nitrogen heterocycle containing 5 or 6 members, and R1 and R2 show an alkyl group, and V1-V11 show hydrogen atoms and a monovalent substitutional group, but at' least one of V1, V2, V5, V8-V11 is a monovalent substitutional group, and L1-L6 show a methyn group and a substitutional methyn group, and (n1) and (n2) shows O and 1, and M1 shows electrification neutralizing counter ions, and (m1) shows a number of more than 0 necessary for neutralizing electrification in molecules. Thereby, a silver halide photographic sensitive material, which has high sensitivity and hardly increases photographic halation while being preserved at a high temperature and/or under a high humidity and rarely causes sensitivity change, that is, the one having excellent service life preserving ability can be provided. |
