PURPOSE:To improve shelf life of a color image by a method wherein hydrogen ated terpene polymer or hydrogenated terpene-phenol copolymer is contained in a color layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal coloring layer is prepared with a coloring compound, a developing compound, a binding agent and a filler, a thermal fusible compound, an interface active agent, etc., which is composed by containing 1-50wt.% of hydrogenated terpene polymer or hydrogenation terpenephenol copolymer. The hydrogenated terpene polymer and the hydrogenated terpene-phenol copolymer are obtained by polymerization or copolymerization of alpha-pinene, beta-pinene., etc., respectively with aluminum chloride and phenol under a Friedel-Craft's type catalyst and by hydrogenation thereafter. A recording sheet of which water resistance and plasticity resistance are improved can be obtained by applying and drying thermal color layer coating liquid onto a base material such as paper, plastic sheet, etc., with a bar coater or the like so as to obtain ordinarily 5-40g/m<2>. |
