PURPOSE:To shorten the time for the adjustment of the position relation between a photosemiconductor element and a receptacle. CONSTITUTION:A bundle optical fiber ferrule 7 is inserted into the sleeve 3 of the receptacle 4 and the light which is emitted by the photosemiconductor element 1 and converged by a lens 2 is passed through the bundle optical fibers 5, enlarged by an optical system 12, and photographed by a television camera 11. The Z-axial position of the receptacle 4 is so adjusted that the number of cores of the bundle optical fibers 5 which propagate the light which is projected on a monitor television 13 and converged by the lens 2 becomes minimum. Then the X- and Y-axial directions of the receptacle 4 are so adjusted that the center of the pattern of the cores of the bundle optical fibers 5 is aligned with the center of the external diameter of the bundle optical fiber ferrule. |
