PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a belt driver by a construction wherein in a printer provided with an ink holding part containing a holding material which holds thermally color-forming ink, the ink forming a color by the heat of heating elements is pressed on a recording medium to record an arbitrary image thereon. CONSTITUTION:In printing, firstly a body 2 is manually moved so that ink held in an ink holding material contained in an ink container 5 can be brought into contact with a heating element line 3 provided on the top end of a movable member 1, and ink particle 4 is applied to the surface of the heating element line 3. Thereafter, the body 2 is manually moved and pressed on a printing medium, such as paper. At this time, the movable member 1 is pressed to be moved into the body 2, whereby a pressing detection switch 6 is turned ON. The pressed state of a printing medium 8 is detected by a controller circuit 7. Then, arbitrary heating elements of the heating element line 3 is heated. Under the heat, the ink particle 4 applied on the arbitrary heating elements produces a color to record an image on the printing medium. |
