PURPOSE: To provide a black matrix improving the contrast and color purity of a color CRT and having a preferable thickness. CONSTITUTION: Colloidal graphite is used as a main constituent, it is added with ferric trioxide or cobalt aluminate as a pigment or a mixed pigment of them at a fixed ratio, and a proper quantity of Fe fine grains is mixed to form this black matrix composition. Since the pigment or the mixed pigment absorbs the blue light and red light generated in phosphors, contrast and color purity is improved, the Fe fine grains strengthen the magnetism of the composition material to provide cohesive force, and the black matrix composition can be applied at the preferable thickness. |
