PURPOSE:To perform wiping capable of certainly and easily removing the scattering of ink, wetting and a paper powder, in wiping operation for the maintenance of an ink jet printer, by suppressing the peel of the surface treatment of an ink emitting surface and the deterioration of a wiper. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a head is wipen with the wiper 8 provided to the cap rubber 3 on the front of a cap member 2. As the wiper, of 0.1-2mm is used. Wiping is performed by prescribing the interference quantity of the head and the wiper to 0.2-3mm. |
