PURPOSE:To obtain a highly sensitive high-quality recording sheet which does not allow waste settlement and has high shelf life stability under high temperature and humidity condition as a thermal recording sheet containing bis (p- methylbenzyl) oxalate as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:This thermal recording sheet consists of a color development layer containing an electron-donative colorless dye and an electron-receptive compound which develops a color by heating with the dye as main components. In addition, the color development layer contains bis (p-methylbenzyl) oxalate, and the front/rear surface pH values of the thermal recording sheet are 8.0 or lower. Further, bis (p-methylbenzyl) oxalate is added to the thermal recording layer and the front/rear surface pH value of the thermal recording sheet is limited to 8.0 or lower. The combination of these conditions enables the manufacture of a highly sensitive, high-quality thermal recording sheet which does not allow waste settlement and has high preservation stability under high temperature and humidity condition. |
