PURPOSE:To simply carry out the replacing work for a roll chock, by moving the roll-chock holding truck, and by operating the motor and the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A roll-chock holding truck 32, forward and backward movable against the roll neck part 2, is installed in the apparatus for setting the roll chock 3 to the rollneck 2 by tightening the nut of the adjust ring C of the thrust ring 18 possessing a thrust piece 21 movable in the radial direction; and the roll-chock holder 36 for holding the roll chock 3 and the gear-box conveying truck 37 are installed in the roll-chock holding truck 32. This gear-box conveying truck 37 is provided with the gear 42 for the motor 48 to tightening and loosening the adjust ring engaging with the gear 17 set to the outer surface of the nut of the adjust ring C, and the turning sleeve for elevating the thrust piece 21 by turning a large and a small sleeves of the thrust ring 18. By thus constituting the roll-chock replacing apparatus, the replacing work for the roll chock can be carried out by operating the motor and the cylinder. |
