摘要

PURPOSE:To attain highly safe authentication of an individed by storing feature information previously extracted from plural fingers of the same person in an IC card and properly using respective fingers in accordance with the using purposes of the IC card. CONSTITUTION:Respective feature information extracted from plural fingers of a person is previously stored in the storage element 12 of an IC card 11 and a CPU 8 selects each stored feature information in accordance with a using purpose of the IC card. A feature extracting part 7 extracts the feature information of each finger from a finger image inputted from an image input device 1. The CPU 8 collates the extracted finger feature information with the selected feature information to judge the coincidence/noncoincidence of both the feature information.
