PURPOSE:To accurately plot a width line graphic having T-shaped parts represented by T-shaped roads on a map by means of simple operation. CONSTITUTION:This graphic preparing device is provided with a reference graphic decomposing part 51 for extracting graphic data to be displayed from a graphic data buffer 22, and when the extracted data are width line graphic data indicating a width line graphic consisting of two lines opposed to each other with a fixed width, decomposing the data into the reference graphic data of respective lines to display them and then decomposing also other width line graphic data stored in the buffer 22 into reference graphic data. The decomposing part 51 allows an overlap judging part 52 to detect a T-shaped part in which the end part of either one of the width line graphic to be displayed and another width line graphic is overlapped to the intermediate part of the other graphic, and at the time of detecting the overlapped part, corrects said reference graphic data to be displayed so as to remove the overlapped part from the width line graphic to be displayed. |
