PURPOSE:To suppress starting current of spindle motor and to start up the motor positively. CONSTITUTION:The start control circuit for spindle motor comprises a CPU 10, a current control circuit 11, an exciting phase control circuit 12, a spindle motor 13 and a rotor position sensor 14, wherein the CPU 10 delivers a current control signal to the current control circuit 11 and initially starting the motor 13 with a current normally limited to a level sufficient for starting. The CPU 10 checks the starting conditions of the motor based on a signal fed from the sensor 14 and finishes the starting sequence if the motor is started otherwise gradually increases the starting current and performs starting process again. |
