<p>PURPOSE:To detect the jamming of the sheet material and grasp the staining of a web by switching the light from a light emitting element and receiving it by two light receiving elements. CONSTITUTION:The detection device consists of the light emitting element 9, light receiving elements 7 and 8, a solenoid 6 for switching the emission direction of the light, a plunger 5, and an optical fiber. The light receiving element 7 is installed nearby a fixing roller 1 so as to receive light reflected by the fixing roller 1 and the light receiving element 8 is installed nearby a web device 3 so as to receive light reflected by the web W. The light emitted by the light emitting element 9 is emitted through the optical fiber 4, but the plunger 5 coupled with the solenoid 6 holds the optical fiber 4 and moves up and down to switch the light emission direction. The light receiving element 8 normally detects the peripheral surface of the fixing roller 1 and the solenoid 6 is put in operation periodically to detect the state of the web W by the light receiving element 7. Consequently, the jamming of the sheet material and the staining of the web can be monitored.</p> |
