PURPOSE:To check any illusion in the speed sense of a driver as well as to give him the speed sense commensurable to the actual speed. CONSTITUTION:An actual speed (v) is detected by a speed sensor 11, acceleration (a) by an acceleration sensor and a grade theta by a grade sensor 13, respectively. A specified traveling state in an automobile is detected by these sensors. Such a function as Sp=f (v, a, theta) is defined in a sound pressure operational part 20. Here Sp is a desired value of an ear-near sound pressure level of a driver, giving a correct speed sense to the detected specified traveling state. This desired value Sp operated by the sound pressure operational part 20 is given to a sound pressure control part 30 which sounds a speaker 60 to do such a compensation that the ear-near sound pressure level of the driver D becomes turned to the desired value Sp on the basis of each output of a vibration sensor 50 attached to an engine 40 and a microphone 70. |
