PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial marble having a cracked pattern by coating a thermosetting resin with higher reactivity than that of a resin used on the surface layer, curing it to form an intermediate layer wherein cracks are produced according to shrinkage and curing, casting a mixture consisting of an unsatd. resin and a filler as a casting layer and performing curing and mold releasing. CONSTITUTION:An artificial marble is constituted of a surface layer, an intermediate layer and an artificial marble layer as the essential constitutional items and if necessary, a reinforced layer is also formed. The surface layer is formed of a thermosetting resin with a thickness of 0.3-1.0mm and is cured. As the intermediate layer, it is coated with a thermosetting resin with higher reactivity than that of the resin used for the surface layer with a thickness of 0.2-0.7mm and it is cured. At that time, the thermosetting resin used is cured more rapidle than that of the thermosetting resin used for the surface layer and is shrunk while cracks are produced. The intermediate layer having cracks is formed by this resin. The reinforced layer is formed by casting a resin mixture on the already formed surface layer and intermediate layer and curing it. |
