PURPOSE:To offer the method for forming an integrated inner diaphragm in the inside of a square shape steel tube member formed by welding a pair of channel steel, and to improve the stress transfer performance of the inner diaphragm part. CONSTITUTION:Half inner diaphragms 3a, 3b are welded 4 in advance to the inside of channel steel 1a, 1b. To the upper and the lower tip parts of the inner diaphragms 3a, 3b, a backing material 8 is attached in advance in a shape extend-over them. By welding 5 each flange tip of the channel steel 1a, 1b, a square shape steel tube member 1 is formed. Thereafter, the part inserted and held by the backing materials 8 is subjected to CES welding 9 from a hole 6 provided on a weld line of the channel steel 1a, 1b, a gap between the half diaphragms 3a, 3b is filled up, and in the inside of the square shape steel tube member 1, an integrated diaphragm 3 is formed. |
