POLLUTION PREVENTING PROCESSING FOR CATALYST FOR REFINING USED CONDITION AND NOVEL METHOD FOR RECOVERING VARIOUS METAL COMPONENT OF THE SAME COMPLETELY

PURPOSE: To separate and recover a metal without using a pressure apparatus by baking a catalyst at a temp. not exceeding 600 deg.C in the presence of gas containing molecular oxygen in a first process and heat-treating the same at a temp. equal to the melting temp. of an alkali base in the presence of the alkali base in a second process. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst has a carrier based on at least one alumina and is in a deactivated state and contains carbon, one metal selected from the group consisting of nickel and the like and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of vanadium or the like. The catalyst is backed at a temp. not exceeding 600 deg.C in the presence of a gas containing molecular oxygen in a first process and subjected to heat treatment at a temp. equal to the melting temp. of an alkali base in the presence of the base in a second process. By this treatment, the perfect conversion of a metal oxide present in the used catalyst to corresponding sodium salt becomes possible. By this constitution, the metal in the catalyst is almost perfectly separated and recovered without using a pressure apparatus.
