Multipole electrical connector

The multipole electrical connector has one half of the unit produced as a moulded block (13) that has a number of formed apertures that receive the connectors (30) attached to the ends of wires. Each connector is produced as a metal pressing that is crimped onto the wire. The end is formed with rolled contacts between which a connecting pin may be forced. The side of the metal connect is formed with a contact shoulder (34) that engages a latching surface (28) in the housing. The latching element deflects during assembly. Once the connector is inserted it is securely retained.
