Discharging arrangement for a twin shaft positive displacement mixer for construction industry materials mixts., esp. concrete comprises a trough body formed of two adjacent aligned half-trough sections and two opposed rotating, journalled, parallel arranged, horizontal, mixer shafts each provided with tool-holders for opposed spiral and one piece mixing ribbon blades which have partial mutual engagement. At least one of the half-trough sections in the region of its circumferential intersection with the other half-trough, has a discharge part provided with an externally opening hinged flap cover. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved discharge rate and discharge energy consumption by mixer not required to raise the mixed prod. to the level of the cusp of the intersecting half-trough sections, before it can be discharged, and allowing a large area discharge part.
