PURPOSE:To obtain density gradation images by a method wherein ink is selectively atomized by resonance of a piezoelectric substrate. CONSTITUTION:The title device is quipped with a piezoelectric substrate 1, electrodes 2 and 3 provided to the surface touching the edge on one end 10 of the piezoelectric substrate and to the rear of the same, a nozzle plate 4 equipped with nozzles 5 that are placed facing the end 10 touching the edge on one end, and a driving means that selectively applies a voltage varying with same period as that of the resonance frequency of the piezoelectric substrate to ink held in a gap between the piezoelectric substrate 1 and the nozzle plate 4 and to a place between the electrodes 2 and 3. |
