PURPOSE:To provide a fuel cap that is able to avoid such working as securing a sealing surface of a flange part to the utmost and reduce manufacturing manhour and cost as well. CONSTITUTION:The fuel cap is provided with a body 1, a flange part 5 and a gasket 11. The body 1 is set up in the inner circumferential part of a fuel filler port O, and it has an external thread part 2, being screwed with this fuel filler port), on the circumstance. The flange part 5 extends outward in the radial direction from the upside. The gasket 11 is made up into a ring form whose section is almost circular, and it is set up in an underside of the flange part 5 and pressed to a flange part F of the fuel filler port O. In addition, this gasket 11 is provided with a projection 15A on the whole circumference along a ring form of this gasket 11 at least on the top side.
