A soft top for vehicles, such as convertibles or the like, is presented and described, having a cover material (15) which is attached to profiles such as hoops (11, 14), clamping bars (12), holding angles (13) or the like of a load-bearing cover frame (10), in which shaping strips (16, 17, 18) are sewn directly onto the edges of the parts of the cover material to be attached to the profiles and extend essentially exclusively below the profiles in their longitudinal direction - matched in terms of shape to said profiles - and are screwed thereto by means of in each case one attachment profile (22, 25, 29). In this way, such a soft top is cleverly designed so that rapid fitting of the cover material (15) to, and when required also removal from, the cover frame (10) is made possible and the previous disadvantages associated with the use of adhesives for attachment of the cover material are avoided. …<IMAGE>… |
