SHIELDING CHAMBER USING SEAL FOR BLOCK- ING LEAKAGE OF ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY AND MAGNETIC FIELD

PURPOSE: To provide a shield chamber generating internal environment isolated from electromagnetic energy and a magnetic field enabling the measurement of magnetism of living body. CONSTITUTION: A shield chamber 20 is formed from a shell 30 of opposed sheets composed of a conductive material preventing the penetration of electromagnetic energy into the chamber 20 and two shells 30, 32 of opposed sheets composed of a high magnetic permeability material preventing the permeation of a magnetic field into the chamber 20 and one of two shells of the high magnetic permeability material is positioned inside a conductive sheet and the other one of them is positioned outside the conductive sheet. The end edge parts of the conductive material opposed sheets are mutually hermetically sealed by a joining compd. layer 44 composed of a mixture of conductive metal particles preventing the permeation of electromagnetic energy and a flowable base material increasing the conductivity of a joining part and excluding air from a hermetically sealed region. The end edge parts of high magnetic permeability opposed sheets are hermetically sealed by joining compd. layers 54, 66 composed of a mixture of the high magnetic permeability and the flowable base material in order to prevent the permeation of a magnetic field.
