PURPOSE:To uniquely determine the principal axis of inertia even in the case a graphic corresponding to an object in an image has a rotation symmetry axis. CONSTITUTION:An object O is photographed and binarized by an image input device, and a principal axis of inertia to a graphic corresponding to the object O is derived with regard to a binary image. A mark M is provided on the object O. The mark M is provided so that the graphic corresponding to the mark M is positioned in the inside of a border line of the graphic in the image corresponding to the object O. Also, in the binary image, a refrectivity of a mark M is set so that the object O and the mark M have different values. |
