PURPOSE:To provide a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition comprising polyphenylene sulfide resin, a specific ethylenic copolymer and a specified compatibilizing agent, and having improved impact resistance without damaging the moldability of the resin. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprises (A) 70-98wt.% of polyphenylene sulfide resin (preferably modified with amino groups) having a melt viscosity of preferably 100-50000 poires, (B) 29-1wt.% of an ethylenic copolymer selected from ethylene, ethylene-1butene, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, (C) 10-1wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic anhydride or an ethylenic copolymer containing an unsaturated glycidyl ester (e.g. ethylene-ethyl acetate-maleic anhydride copolymer, ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer) as a compatibilizing agent, if necessary, a fibrous or particulate reinforcing agent, any other resin, etc., the components being preferably melt-kneaded at 280-340 deg.C. |
