PURPOSE:To manufacture both faces of an optical disk in a single process by forming a recording track in the same direction on both recording faces of the optical disk and providing a data recording form permitting the recording track to be accessed bidirectionally. CONSTITUTION:On recording faces 4a and 4b of an optical disk 4, a recording track in a spiral shape in the same direction is formed. When the recording face 4a of the optical disk 4 is accessed by means of a separation optical system 5, a mirror 10 is retracted from an optical axis and the light path of a stationary optical system 7 is connected to the separation optical system 5. When the recording face 4b of the optical disk 4 is accessed by means of a separation optical system 6, the mirror 10 is inserted onto the optical axis and the light path of the stationary optical system 7 is connected to the separation optical system 6. Thus, both recording faces 4a and 4b of the optical disk 4 can be manufactured in the same manufacturing process, and because the changeover of the rotating direction is not required, data access speed can be increased. |
