PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium which enables an image having high print density and almost no print density below a specified level to be visualized, if the medium is used repetitively. CONSTITUTION:This thermal transfer recording medium is composed of a laminated ink layer of the first ink layer 3 and the second ink layer 4 formed on a support 1. The first ink layer is constituted mainly with a coarse ramified structure 6 and a thermal melting ink 8, while the second ink layer is based on a fine porous structure 10 and a thermal melting ink 12. The thermal melting inks of both layers have a viscosity gradient so that the melting viscosity of the second ink layer is lower than that of the first ink layer. |
