(A) Particle removal from coal dust combustion flue gas is effected by retarding the particles concentrated at the outer region of the flue gas stream in a bend region and an inlet diffuser of an electrostatic filter, depositing the stationary particles and distributing the other particles in the flue gas stream over the inlet cross-section of the filter.
