Fuel injection control method for IC engine - controlling fuel w.r.t. oxygen content in exhaust gases with correction for dynamic changes in oxygen content
摘要
The exhaust system has a sensor for oxygen content and the signals are processed to derive a lambda value as well as a differential of the lambda value, defining the dynamic state of the value. The actual fuel injection rate is controlled via a combination of both values, to eliminate peaks in the injection rate. This prevents undue carbon emission. The dynamic rate is limitted by a fixed level, which operates above set dynamic rates. For low rates a preset ramp rate monitors the lambda level. The system operates for a diesel engine as well as an ignition fired engine. ADVANTAGE - Less carbon emission, follows dynamic changes in engine operation.
