<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation of the radar device. CONSTITUTION: On the screen 9 of a radar for a ship, several displays regarding various functions, e.g. distance range, gain, sea surface clutter settings, etc., are made in addition to radar video. The radar has a key pad 10, and three keys 13 to 15 and one track ball are mounted and connected to a radar control unit 1. The control unit generates a marker 30 which can be moved with a track ball on the screen 9. To change one of the control functions, the marker is moved into the area in a display frame corresponding to a proper control function with the track ball and through the operation of the control unit, three auxiliary frames 22A to 22C appear below the control function display frame 22 on the screen, so that usable choices are displayed. A user can make a desired choice by pressing one proper key among the three keys.</p> |
