The manufacturing method involves the preforming of the surfaces of the two parts (1,2) between which an elastically deformable damping insert is placed. Following the insertion of the damping material, the two surfaces are brought together thereby clamping the elastic material in place. The surfaces of the parts (1,2) may be preformed by various methods and may have one of a number of different forms such as parallel ridges. ADVANTAGE - Simplified and improved manufacturing method giving extended and better performance.
