PURPOSE:To obtain a recording media having high reflection factor, superior modulation, outstanding record regeneration properties and excellent light- fastness by forming a recording layer using color evaporation technique in an information recording medium consisting of the recording layer and a reflective layer of metal laminated on a disc substrate with pregrooves and/or prepits formed in a circle on the surface. CONSTITUTION:An area dedicated to regeneration process which consists of prepits 15 formed in an area 17 at the peripheral side, is provided on the surface of a disc substrate 11, and a recording area 18 composed of pregroups 16 is formed in an area 18 at the peripheral side, In addition, a recording layer 12 consisting of color is formed on the prepit 15 and the pregroup 16 is formed using color evaporation technique. As the recording layer 12 is formed using vacuum evaporation or sputtering technique, the film of the recording layer 12 is almost equal at either one of the lands at the bottom of the prepit 15, the bottom of the pregroup 16, the area between the prepits 15 and the area between the pregroups 16. |
